The season drew to a close for the surging La Quinta High School girls tennis team Thursday when they fell to Beverly Hills 11-7 in the CIF Southern Section semifinals.

| High school thespians put Twain onstage |
The La Quinta High School theater troupe is performing Mark Twain's comedy “Is He Dead?” tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the theater, 79-255 Westward Ho Drive. General admission tickets cost $8 while students' and children's tickets are $5. Call the school for information at 772-4150.
